About the Teachers |

 |
 Kristina Ahern, R.Y.T. and certified teacher with the Krishnamacarya Healing &Yoga
Foundation (KHYF), has been guiding and empowering students on the path of Yoga
for over 10 years. She is currently participating in an intensive four year Yoga Therapy
Training, conducted by KHYF and Kausthub Desikachar, to deepen and broaden her
abilities to work effectively with students individually. She has also attended
workshops with Sonia Nelson (Vedic Chant Center) and Gary and Mirka Kraftsow
(American Viniyoga Institute). The healing potential of sound/chanting, along with
supportive posture, breath and meditation techniques, are all explored with attention to
individual needs in her classes, workshops and private sessions. When not indoors teaching
or practicing Yoga, Kristina can often be found riding her horses, walking her dogs or
exploring the joy of movement and breath in the natural world.

 Carolyn Hedin, E-R.Y.T., founded Bluewater Yoga studio in 1996 in order to offer ongoing
Yoga classes to the Red Wing community. Carolyn is certified by the American Viniyoga
Institute, is registered with Yoga Alliance at the E-500 hour level, and is a Yoga Teacher
certified and affilated with the Krishnamacarya Healing & Yoga Foundation (KHYF) in
Chennai, India, through which she continues her Yoga studies with Kausthub Desikachar.

Lisa Walker, a Guild-certified Feldenkrais Practitioner has completed an extensive four-year
Feldenkrais Practitioner Training Program. Interested in movement and self-awareness since
childhood, she has experience in dance, sports, meditation, and in the martial arts. “I’ve
found this practice to be a joyful companion to every aspect of my life, every activity I do.
Whether I’m at work, on the ski slopes, or sitting quietly, self-awareness emerges through
embodied experience.” |

 Elizabeth Witt, R.Y.T., began her practice in yoga and mindfulness in 1997. Her experience with
yoga includes private study, workshops, and professional training. She completed her 200 hour yoga
teacher training in 2005 at the Riverbend Yoga Studio under Maggie Kessell. Betsy is registered with Yoga
Alliance and is certified by, and affiliated to, the Krishnamacharya Healing Yoga Foundation in Chennai,
India (KHYF). In 2004, Betsy trained with Jon Kabat-Zinn in mindfulness meditation. In 2007, she
completed a Master's Degree in Human Development with an emphasis in mindfulness studies. She
has mentored under Judith Lies (www.seedsofmindfulness.com). Betsy offers the Mindfulness Based
Stress Reduction course (MBSR) and mindfulness "One Hour" courses and is eager for opportunities to
facilitate mindfulness. |

Michelle Jamieson has twenty years of experience in the fitness industry. She holds numerous certifications in many modalities as well as 200 hour Vinyasa Yoga Certification. She is the owner of "SureMichelle Instruction" in Rochester, offering Yoga and fitness classes, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, and music instruction. She inspires participants to develop their talents, embrace their creativity, learn a new skill, and improve the abilities of their bodies, thus helping them to discover the inner strength that propels them forward towards growth and change.
