About the Instructors
 
Carolyn Hedin, R.Y.T., founded Bluewater Yoga studio in 1996 in order to offer ongoing Yoga classes to the Red Wing community. Carolyn completed the three-year teacher training program with Gary Kraftsow, is certified by the American Viniyoga Institute, is registered with Yoga Alliance at the 500 hour level, and is a Yoga Teacher affiliated to the KHYF (Krishnamacharya Healing & Yoga Alliance in Chennai, India) through which she continues her Yoga studies with Kausthub Desikachar.

Michele Hoffman,
R.Y.T., has been practicing yoga since 1993 and teaching yoga since 1997. She also has completed the three-year teacher training program with Gary Kraftsow, is certified by the American Viniyoga Institute, is registered with Yoga Alliance at the 500 hour level, and is a Yoga Teacher affiliated to the KHYF. Michele has a special interest in yoga therapy and has recently completed a 105 hour Kinesthetic Anatomy program to assist her in working one on one with individual students and their physical challenges.


Kris Ahern,
R.Y.T., has been practicing Yoga for the last decade and has been teaching for six years. She is certified at the 200 hour level through Riverbend Yoga Studio in St. Paul, Minnesota. She is also registered with Yoga Alliance and is a Yoga Teacher affiliated to the KHYF
(Krishnamacharya Healing & Yoga Alliance in Chennai, India).  In addition, she has attended Vedic chant classes with Sonia Nelson at the Vedic Chant Center in Santa Fe, NM, enjoys teaching group classes and workshop retreats as well as working individually with students. She believes a consistent yoga practice helps bring healing, joy and balance into a person's life.


 

Lisa Walker, a Guild-certified Feldenkrais Practitioner has completed an extensive four-year Feldenkrais Practitioner Training Program. Interested in movement and self-awareness since childhood, she has experience in dance, sports, meditation, and in the martial arts. “I've found this practice to be a joyful companion to every aspect of my life, every activity I do. Whether I'm at work, on the ski slopes, or sitting quietly, self-awareness emerges through embodied experience.”
